[He thinks he might've heard shuffling or breathing on the other line, but it also just might be the bracelet which he shakes when he gets no response from the other side.]
Is this thing even working?
[Another pause. More silence. And then Sora just cuts the feed. Dumb bracelet.]
[They are the best at it. The both of them. Which makes a lot of sense considering the circumstances.]
[He remembers. At the time, he was too preoccupied thinking 'That's Roxas!,' but the idea had appealed to him later when he thought back on it. He'd like to feel that comfortable weight in his hands again, even if it isn't the real thing.]
You said you wanted to make keyblades, right?

action ♡ delivery ♡ backdated to Valentine's Day, late morning
[A little before lunch time, a very unusual knock sounds on the door -- it's a little bit too light, rhythmic, high pitched, hollow ... as if it's made by the tip of an object instead of a person's knuckle.
There will be no one on the other side of the door, but there is something waiting for whoever gets there first: a pair of sparsely decorated paper bags lined neatly side by side.
One dons a clear, hand-written tag that says 'SORA', the other, 'RIKU'. The flip side of each tag reads, 'From Aqua, Terra, & Ventus' The first bag, respectively, contains a quartet of sloppily-made strawberry tarts, wrapped individually. It's not the neatest artistic creation she's ever made, but ... the pastries themselves aren't too bad!
The second bag, on the other hand ... will be containing a slew of store-bought sweets, perhaps in response to the perceived failure to perfect the other project.]
[ Not just them but sundaes, too, and- Oh, Sora. You always know how to make things even more awkward.
...Okay, so maybe his happiness is a little contagious though. And she really... really wants things to be okay between them. Trying her best to sound easy-going. ]
Well... So, I've been talking about doing murals around the city... and I was thinking maybe you'd like to join us? [ There's a tiny hint of a smile in her tone. ]

[If Sora picks up he can totally pretend to be a telemarketer, right?]

[As soon as Sora picks up, Roxas is already speaking.]
Don't hang up this time!

Maybe not! A voice on the line comes in clear this time. It even sounds a little familiar.]
If he didn't know better, he'd say it awas-]
... Roxas?!

[Another, awkward pause. At least Sora know's someone is on the other line, this time.]
Hi.

[Sora raises that awkward pause with one of his own. Luckily it's not that long. Tentatively:]
What's up?

[Boy, they're good at this. Taking a deep breath, Roxas just decides to-- be done with it. He's got a question, he should just say it, already.]
Listen, um-- I have a job, learning how to make weapons.
My boss..is letting me make a few weapons for myself. So my first thought was... [Silver, gold, Disney themed. Take a wild guess.

[Literally as much as it is figuratively. And though their palette would be limited... it's a really nice gesture. It's very like Kairi.
Like he could say no to spending time with her.]
Sure! Sounds like fun. Where were you guys thinking about doing it?
voice;
[ It's funny how at his acceptance, it suddenly feels so much easier to talk. Even stirring a little laugh from her. ]
The paint's actually isn't in color, but Naminé and I were actually thinking it would make for a nice surprise, you know?
voice;
[He's already getting pretty psyched over the idea.]
We could even paint some of the places we've been. Destiny Islands too!
voice;
Yeah, that's what I was thinking! [ On both counts! ] I'm definitely going to paint the beach! And some other things. I'm not sure yet. Hm...
I wonder what everyone else will paint...
voice;
Maybe they could all paint something from their homes. So it's almost like they've got a piece of it here with them.
[This place'll be filled with color in no time.]
