[Hey there, Vatheon! Time for a homely little broadcast of a cozy looking ... stable? Since when did Vatheon have horses? Must be new. The screen pans slowly, revealing a vast open field, bordered by a rickety white fence. Sora's voice speaks off screen:]

Hey guys- check out what showed up at Nostalgia Nook!

[And then woa! Fluffy yellow feathers invade the screen. The SFC shakes as the person holding it begins to laugh. Sora swivels the SFC on himself. His hood is caught in the beak of a rather large bird. Behind him are several more, nearly twice Sora's height and scattered throughout the field.]

They're called Chocobos. Some are pretty friendly. The guy at the stable? He says I can have one if I take good care of it! [Another Chocobo head bobs into the screen, nibbling at the end of a spike of Sora's hair. He doesn't seem to mind.] You can even ride them, but you gotta train em' first.

Oh. And when you sing, sometimes they'll dance. Watch!

[The screen swivels around, squaring on an unassuming Chocobo several yards ahead. Sora clears his throat, and begins to whistle a tune. The bird in question quirks its head at the SFC and surprise, surprise, it actually begins to dance! It bobs, sways, rolls its head, warking rather excitedly, drawing attention of other ones nearby who more or less begin to do the same.]

[Just when things start getting interesting, that's when it all stops: there's a loud, irritated wark right behind the SFC. Sora has halted his musical performance and the screen has wandered away from the dancing chocobo as if Sora has become distracted offscreen. Could be trouble...]

Uhh.... hey there... You want some greens, is that it?

I'm sure I've got some around here. Hang on a sec....H-hey!

Wait, what're you - Oh no!!

[The screen finally jerks around, catching a flash Sora being tugged backwards, his hood caught in the beak of a rather irate looking bird. The broadcast stops.]

[The chocobo dragging Sora away halts, startled by the sudden appearance. G-good going, Demyx, now it's feathers are all ruffled! It gives a warning squawk, which causes Sora to duck away just a bit]

Oh man...

_{[Whoops. ...That didn't sound good. He'll just hold his hands up innocently, taking a half step back.]}

Eh... Did I show up at a bad time?

Kinda?

[The Chocobo eyes Demyx, shifting its weight restlessly.]

Uh... I think you might've picked the wrong time to portal in...

I guess I overshot the exit point...

_{[Okay bird, you win. Backing all the way up until the small of his back hits the fence.]}

Easy, buddy... M'over here now, see?

[It snaps its beak testily, and then seems to even lose interest as Demyx finally backs away. Sora waits until it wanders far enough before he relaxes.]

Phew..

[Sora straightens his jacket, laughing a little.] Guess some of them take a little more warming up to.

Right... I think my heart stopped, dude.

_{[Placing a hand over his chest. Yep, it stopped. Have a sheepish look, not-Roxas.]}

My bad.

Mine too.

[But Sora perks right up. Couldn't resist coming out to see the Chocobos, eh, Demyx?]

Nah, that one was one of the grumpier ones. [And Sora tugs absentmindedly at his jacket. ~~He just got man-handled... no... chocobo-handled.~~] The other ones aren't too bad, though!

[He shuffles through his pack.] Wanna feed one?

Well, at least I didn't hit the heart attack phase.

_{[Just like the world to the 5 Golden Tickets. Or a Xemnas to Kingdom Hearts.]}

'kay, I'm calling that one 'Xaldin'. _{[That old man... There was another Nobody that Demyx couldn't figure out.]}

S'not gonna peck my head off, is it?

Well sure if you had a heart.

[Okay. Bad joke. But you totally set yourself up for that one. And the idea of a Chocobo called Xaldin running around just cracks him up.]

I dunno if that's a good idea, Demyx.

Maybe someday.

_{[Laughs are always good!]}

How about we try not to give you a heart attack when you do get one?

Anyway, A name? Hmmm... we should name it after somebody who won't show up in Vatheon.

...Think there's any chance of Hades showing up?

[Aha. He pulls his hand from his pack, and holds out an inconspicuous looking batch of greens in Demyx's direction.]

What about Loki?

_{[Whoa, what is this.]}

Dude, did you just give me weed?

Loki? You know... that would work.

Those are Ghysahl Greens, Demyx. The Chocobos love that stuff.

Really?

Ghysahl Greens... _{[He gives the greens an experimental whiff. Smells normal to him!]} Weird name. So, what am I supposed to do with 'em?

[Sora pulls out another small batch. He's only got a few more of these on him, so they'd better make it count.]

Mmm... how about we try feeding one. You know, just pick one and go for it.

[A pause.]

Any one except 'Loki.'

_{[Feed one? Demyx simply stares at Sora as if he had something on his face.]}

How?

It's easy! You just walk right up to em' and...

Actually, I'm not sure. I've never done it before.

Just walk up to one, huh?

_{[Well, it couldn't hurt to try! Let's see...]}

Only way I can think of. Just no portals this time.

[Sora's willing to give it a shot. And he scans the field for one that doesn't look like it'd chase him down. One happens to wander closer to the stables where they're standing so Sora nods to himself. That one looks good.]

_{[While Sora has his attention focused elsewhere, Demyx takes the chance to silently sneak away.
