[Hey there, Vatheon! Time for a homely little broadcast of a cozy looking ... stable? Since when did Vatheon have horses? Must be new. The screen pans slowly, revealing a vast open field, bordered by a rickety white fence. Sora's voice speaks off screen:]

Hey guys- check out what showed up at Nostalgia Nook!

[And then woa! Fluffy yellow feathers invade the screen. The SFC shakes as the person holding it begins to laugh. Sora swivels the SFC on himself. His hood is caught in the beak of a rather large bird. Behind him are several more, nearly twice Sora's height and scattered throughout the field.]

They're called Chocobos. Some are pretty friendly. The guy at the stable? He says I can have one if I take good care of it! [Another Chocobo head bobs into the screen, nibbling at the end of a spike of Sora's hair. He doesn't seem to mind.] You can even ride them, but you gotta train em' first.

Oh. And when you sing, sometimes they'll dance. Watch!

[The screen swivels around, squaring on an unassuming Chocobo several yards ahead. Sora clears his throat, and begins to whistle a tune. The bird in question quirks its head at the SFC and surprise, surprise, it actually begins to dance! It bobs, sways, rolls its head, warking rather excitedly, drawing attention of other ones nearby who more or less begin to do the same.]

[Just when things start getting interesting, that's when it all stops: there's a loud, irritated wark right behind the SFC. Sora has halted his musical performance and the screen has wandered away from the dancing chocobo as if Sora has become distracted offscreen. Could be trouble...]

Uhh.... hey there... You want some greens, is that it?

I'm sure I've got some around here. Hang on a sec....H-hey!

Wait, what're you - Oh no!!

[The screen finally jerks around, catching a flash Sora being tugged backwards, his hood caught in the beak of a rather irate looking bird. The broadcast stops.]

[He blinks. Laughs. Him? Scary? No way.]

Yeah, but I've fought a lot of bad guys who say stuff like that all the time.

You know, "Fools!" and "You'll rue the day!"

Like that.

[Sora's walking over, his Chocobo trailing behind him. He comes to a stop only a few yards away from where Demyx lays helpless on the ground. He just stares as his own Chocobo nips another green from his hand.]

[Having fun? Looks like Demyx is pretty good with Chocobos after all. Who'da thunk.]

Are you going to name it 'Santa', Sora?

[ GRIN. ]

Not this again...

[The Chocobo takes a long stride Sora is not ready for and he stumbles. His face disappears from the screen and there's a shot of the barrier overhead.]

You should know by now that I'm quite persistant.

Although, perhaps you should be... careful with that thing, hm?

[Off screen:] I'm thinking he should be a little more careful with me.

[The Chocobo peers down at the SFC. Warks. And then Sora's hand is pushing it away and out of the screen. The SFC turns until it faces Sora again as he picks it up off the ground.]

Yes, that too.

[ She stares blankly at the Chocobo. Well, at least it's cute... it's sort of like a horse! Just. A horse with feathers.

Perhaps more like an ostrich... ]

Are you positive you can tame it?

Ohhhhhhhhhh... okay!

[So Sora had some ~~street~~ credentials. Seems like he wouldn't be too afraid if he pulled out some of his moves.

He takes a deep breath, centering himself for the dark, evil, HORRIFYING words that are about to come out of his mouth...]

I wasn't planning on this one... He just kept following me.

[~~lol horsefeathers~~ She knows about a lot of stuff. Maybe she can help!]

Are you good with animals, Integra?

[unfortunately, he looks nothing but a ridiculous, laughable shade of a true dark demon]

YOU!

[Finger point to Sora for the effect! And after a moment, he turns sideways a little. Yeah! +3 points for the angle!]

YOU DARE TO MOCK ME? YOU WILL REGRET THE DAY YOU MET LORD RAENEF V!

[And then the evil laugh. Oh yes, he's going all out on this one.]

MuahahahahahahahaahahahAHAHAHAHAHA!

...He likes you.

[ ~~OH YOU~~ ...That... is probably not a good idea... she'd probably intimidate the thing into hiding FOREVER. ]

...

I was good with Alucard. Does that count?

[NAILED IT.

And now he's back to his cheerful self~]

So how was that? Don't cry or get mad at me or anything, okay 'cause I warned you!

He's got some weird ways of showing it.

Hmmm.... If you could make Alucard listen to you, then a Chocobo should be a snap.

It's true love, obviously.

Mm, perhaps. [ She tilts her head slightly. ] Shall I come down there, or did you want me to attempt to get it to listen... here?

How about we meet down here at the ranch? No good being cooped up in that old mansion all the time. Some sunshine'll do you some good.

[ The urge to say 'yes, mother', is great, but she doesn't. Instead, she shrugs, but nods. ]

Very well -- I shouldn't be long.

[When it's all said and done, Sora doesn't respond at first. No verdict yet. Have a dramatic pause as Sora ponders over the attempt.]

Hhhmmmm....

[The Chocobo shoves its way into the screen. Warks at it. And then the feed cuts.]

[ She nods, and then twitches at the friggin' Chocobo.

She's got her work cut out for her with this one.

It isn't long before Integra manages to find her way into the ranch, and after a bit of searching, she finds poor Sora and the creature. ] My, my...

It's your lucky day then. Guess that means you can drop by and see them any time you want.

[Sora's poised at the edge of the corral, just inside the white fence. The Chocobo's nudging Sora's pack, as if it smells something inside. When Sora looks up, he waves.]

Integra! Glad you made it.

Guess it's time for you two to meet, huh?

[ She chuckles and waves back, stuffing her hands in her pockets as she approaches. She glances over at the Chocobo, smirking. ]

It's good to see you again, Sora.

I suppose so. I still think you should name it Santa.

...what is it?

[It couldn't have been bad, right? That was one of his best attempts!

...nah, he was probably just scared speechless. Awesome.]

Tch... speak for yourself.

[Actually kind of likes not having to kill things every other week, thank you.]

Nice pose. Good volume. Even an evil laugh.

[He nods thoughtfully. All signs point to Sora being impressed, perhaps?]

... Maybe you oughta practice a little bit more with Eclipse.
