[Hey there, Vatheon! Time for a homely little broadcast of a cozy looking ... stable? Since when did Vatheon have horses? Must be new. The screen pans slowly, revealing a vast open field, bordered by a rickety white fence. Sora's voice speaks off screen:]

Hey guys- check out what showed up at Nostalgia Nook!

[And then woa! Fluffy yellow feathers invade the screen. The SFC shakes as the person holding it begins to laugh. Sora swivels the SFC on himself. His hood is caught in the beak of a rather large bird. Behind him are several more, nearly twice Sora's height and scattered throughout the field.]

They're called Chocobos. Some are pretty friendly. The guy at the stable? He says I can have one if I take good care of it! [Another Chocobo head bobs into the screen, nibbling at the end of a spike of Sora's hair. He doesn't seem to mind.] You can even ride them, but you gotta train em' first.

Oh. And when you sing, sometimes they'll dance. Watch!

[The screen swivels around, squaring on an unassuming Chocobo several yards ahead. Sora clears his throat, and begins to whistle a tune. The bird in question quirks its head at the SFC and surprise, surprise, it actually begins to dance! It bobs, sways, rolls its head, warking rather excitedly, drawing attention of other ones nearby who more or less begin to do the same.]

[Just when things start getting interesting, that's when it all stops: there's a loud, irritated wark right behind the SFC. Sora has halted his musical performance and the screen has wandered away from the dancing chocobo as if Sora has become distracted offscreen. Could be trouble...]

Uhh.... hey there... You want some greens, is that it?

I'm sure I've got some around here. Hang on a sec....H-hey!

Wait, what're you - Oh no!!

[The screen finally jerks around, catching a flash Sora being tugged backwards, his hood caught in the beak of a rather irate looking bird. The broadcast stops.]

[Sora's willing to give it a shot. And he scans the field for one that doesn't look like it'd chase him down. One happens to wander closer to the stables where they're standing so Sora nods to himself. That one looks good.]

Sorry, sorry. I was excited!

_{[Lea just continues to pet the poor frazzled Chocobo, cooing in its ear- well, general direction of what is probably an ear under all those feathers- and rests his head against its neck.]}

Man, I'm so glad to see one of these things again.

Warn me next time you're 'excited' so I can get out of the way first.

[He just shakes his head at Lea. But he's smiling. Can't really help it.]

You've seen Chocobos before?

Pffft, please. When you made that broadcast, you should have expected this kind of thing from someone.

And of course I have! There are all sorts of different Chocobos around the Garden, especially on the other islands!

Sometimes they sell stuff from our worlds at Nostalgia Nook. New stores show up all the time there.

Maybe they figured out we were all getting a little homesick.

[The Chocobo nudges Sora's head and Sora almost laughs. He pats the Chocobo beside him obligingly.]

Not a problem, dude.

_{[While Sora has his attention focused elsewhere, Demyx takes the chance to silently sneak away.

In Loki's direction.

He'd apologize to that bird one way or another.]}

[It's a near massacre with bits of greens and feathers flying every which way. And of course, Sora and Roxas caught in the middle of it. Half of them have their wings extended, flapping wildly as they scramble for the food. Sora's half ducking, trying to cover his head in this mess. Every now and then there's a cry of dismay when a Chocobo snaps too close or nearly steps on him.]

[Sora knows nothing of Demyx's secret plans with 'Loki', and focuses his attention on approaching a friendlier one. At first, things are dicey. Sora's Chocobo disregards the greens in his hand and saunters away without a care. But upon a second approach and offering, it tentatively steps up to Sora and takes a few greens from his outstretched hand.]

[Score! He wonders how Demyx is faring.]

Well sure I expected people to come check out the birds. I just didn't expect them to start a stampede!

Don't tell me you do that with all the Chocobos back home.

_{[When he finally approaches Loki, the first time goes down the drain. Second time blows up in his face. The third time paired up with some quiet humming? That gets the Chocobo's attention and a curious 'wark' as Demyx deposits half of the greens on the ground in front of the bird and distancing himself to take a seat on the ground.

He can be patient.]}

It's alright, buddy. I'm harmless.

[Unfortunately, another Chocobo thwarts Demyx's attempt to establish a meaningful connection with Loki. It saunters right up and snatches up one of the greens before Loki can.]

Eh?! Hey!

_{[brb stuffing the remaining greens into his pockets to shoo off the thwarter.]}

Come back later! M'tryin' to apologize!

[The new Chocobo takes a step back with a confused whistle. Then it leans forward to nip at Demyx's pockets where the greens have disappeared.]

Ack--! Hey! That's getting a little close!

_{[Lightly pushing at it's beak with a whine.]}

[Look on the bright side, Demyx. You know that meaningful connection to Loki you were looking for? You ... kind of have it. Because after seeing the first one have a go at your pockets, Loki's gotten in on the act too. He's snooping around the pocket on the other side.]

_{[O-Oh crap, that one actually tickled.]}

A-Ah, don't-- T-That tickles!

Yeah! He just teaches me lots of different, scary words like "How dare you admonish me, vermin!" or "I shall spare you no quarter!" or "Defying me will be the last thing you ever do!"

It's okay, I guess. Sometimes, people are really terrified. But sometimes people just laugh. [To himself] I wonder why they keep doing that...

[Sora's run into a lot of villains in his day, so...]

Well, let's hear it.

Oh... It's okay.

[But is it really? Yuna turns her face away from the screen. The last thing she wants her new friend to see is how much she'd gotten her hopes up.]

I'm sure I'll see her again, someday.

Should be prepared for everything~.

And nah. Most of the ranches and wild ones were found on the other islands around the city. Me and Isa couldn't visit them all the time.

[Raenef's giving Sora a skeptical look]

Are you sure? It can get pretty scary. You might not wanna be my friend anymore if I terrify you.

[You should know, Demyx, that when it comes to tickles, Chocobos show no mercy. They give no quarter. They WILL have those greens.]

It's okay! I'm pretty hard to spook.

Maybe I can even give you pointers!

_{[Ack, if anyone finds out about his ticklish spots he's doomed. Which these Chocobos just found. Sora, there appears to be a strangled wail about thirty feet away. What do you do?]}

N-Not there--! Please, I-I give up! Please! _{[A pained laugh]} I-It hurts to breathe! Mercy!

[How to say this gently without hurting his feelings? This was going to take some think-think-thinking here.]

Sora, um... you're not really all that scary. You're kind of, you know... a nice guy?
