[Hey there, Vatheon! Time for a homely little broadcast of a cozy looking ... stable? Since when did Vatheon have horses? Must be new. The screen pans slowly, revealing a vast open field, bordered by a rickety white fence. Sora's voice speaks off screen:]

Hey guys- check out what showed up at Nostalgia Nook!

[And then woa! Fluffy yellow feathers invade the screen. The SFC shakes as the person holding it begins to laugh. Sora swivels the SFC on himself. His hood is caught in the beak of a rather large bird. Behind him are several more, nearly twice Sora's height and scattered throughout the field.]

They're called Chocobos. Some are pretty friendly. The guy at the stable? He says I can have one if I take good care of it! [Another Chocobo head bobs into the screen, nibbling at the end of a spike of Sora's hair. He doesn't seem to mind.] You can even ride them, but you gotta train em' first.

Oh. And when you sing, sometimes they'll dance. Watch!

[The screen swivels around, squaring on an unassuming Chocobo several yards ahead. Sora clears his throat, and begins to whistle a tune. The bird in question quirks its head at the SFC and surprise, surprise, it actually begins to dance! It bobs, sways, rolls its head, warking rather excitedly, drawing attention of other ones nearby who more or less begin to do the same.]

[Just when things start getting interesting, that's when it all stops: there's a loud, irritated wark right behind the SFC. Sora has halted his musical performance and the screen has wandered away from the dancing chocobo as if Sora has become distracted offscreen. Could be trouble...]

Uhh.... hey there... You want some greens, is that it?

I'm sure I've got some around here. Hang on a sec....H-hey!

Wait, what're you - Oh no!!

[The screen finally jerks around, catching a flash Sora being tugged backwards, his hood caught in the beak of a rather irate looking bird. The broadcast stops.]

[He has a way with animals as well as people, as far as canon is concerned. Flynn glances around quickly once he sees that he has the chocobo's attention, and almost sighed in relief when he found a bucket full of what looked like food for the huge birds. He grabbed the bucket, and only stopped whistling when the chocobo was near enough to give it the greens, setting the bucket inside the corral.]

Are you all right?

...Think there's any chance of Hades showing up?

Could be... You never know with this place.

[Aha. He pulls his hand from his pack, and holds out an inconspicuous looking batch of greens in Demyx's direction.]

_{[Whoa, what is this.]}

Dude, did you just give me weed?

...The hell... A giant chicken?

[ she was actually on her way over when she caught sight of the transmission. And now she's there.

And staring.

And OH HOW CUTE-- wait bird what are you doing-- ]

Sora?!

They look so cute! I didn't know they had that kind of thing here!

[brb LOLing forever.]

So in this case, could it be said that the bird flipped you?

Aw, come on, admit it. Chocobos are pretty cool. ... Most of the time anyway. [To the bird in question:] Hey stop that-

Anyway, Ever think you're being just a little paranoid? It's not like everyone's out to get you.

No, they are not fucking cool. They're stupid huge featherbeasts that make too much noise.

I'm not being fucking paranoid, either, jackass. I never even said everyone's out to get me, but I don't want to be caught off guard if something does come. Plus I have reason enough not to want to actually sleep at this point, so fuck off.

But if you really want some "valid" danger, one of my fellow trolls her is a backstabbing psychopath who, from what I've heard, actually killed this other guy I know in the future where I come from.

[Sora fixes himself so he looks halfway decent, like he hasn't been dragged halfway across the corral by a considerably sized bird.]

Yeah, I'm fine now. Thanks! Pretty quick thinking there. You seem pretty good with these guys.

Kinda. She was there when we met. Or... I thought she was.

[At first, Lea's calming gestures seem to have a real effect. It's pace slows, it's squawking lessens the longer Lea goes on. Could it really be working?]

[Suddenly, without warning, it gives one last hard buck attempting to rid himself of his passenger.]

[Sora's dragged along another few steps before the Chocobo mercifully comes to a stop.]

Yeah. That's it, Red.

I dunno if you'd call him my friend. I think he likes my jacket better than he likes me.

G-Gack!

_{[Not quite.

Lea almost goes flying... But gets a firm enough grip on a bunch of feathers to only get his position moved until he's practically hugging the poor bird's head. And boy, is he hugging for dear life.]}

That's- [Okay he'll get his jacket back eventually maybe he'll just tug on it until- oh forget it. He gives up and lets the Chocobo do what it wants with his hood.] That's what I thought too, but they're not. They're some kinda bird called Chocobos.

They must be from somebody's world. [If they're in Nostalgia Nook, they've got to be.]

[Said bird is lording over Sora's jacket at the moment, though Olette's voice catches its attention. It wanders over to the edge of the fence with Sora involuntarily in tow. He gives her a helpless look.]

H-hey Olette...

[The Chocobo gives a curious whistle.]

Me neither. I think it just showed up recently.

I guess they are kinda cute. When they're not trying to take my jacket...

[ Olette gives him a blank look in response, though her lips are twitching as though she's trying not to laugh. ]

... Need some help there?

[That brings the smile back to her face]

It sounds like the same Rikku I know! Though, my Rikku might be a little taller.

Do you know where she could be?

Oh, it's you. Real funny, Axel.

[See, this is why they can't have nice thing- Ow. Sora gets partially pulled off screen.]

Loki? You know... that would work.

Those are Ghysahl Greens, Demyx. The Chocobos love that stuff.

Ghysahl Greens... _{[He gives the greens an experimental whiff. Smells normal to him!]} Weird name. So, what am I supposed to do with 'em?

[That sobers up Sora real fast.]

They killed somebody? Are you serious?

[Y-yeah, that's about as valid as it gets. Oh man.]
