[Hey there, Vatheon! Time for a homely little broadcast of a cozy looking ... stable? Since when did Vatheon have horses? Must be new. The screen pans slowly, revealing a vast open field, bordered by a rickety white fence. Sora's voice speaks off screen:]

Hey guys- check out what showed up at Nostalgia Nook!

[And then woa! Fluffy yellow feathers invade the screen. The SFC shakes as the person holding it begins to laugh. Sora swivels the SFC on himself. His hood is caught in the beak of a rather large bird. Behind him are several more, nearly twice Sora's height and scattered throughout the field.]

They're called Chocobos. Some are pretty friendly. The guy at the stable? He says I can have one if I take good care of it! [Another Chocobo head bobs into the screen, nibbling at the end of a spike of Sora's hair. He doesn't seem to mind.] You can even ride them, but you gotta train em' first.

Oh. And when you sing, sometimes they'll dance. Watch!

[The screen swivels around, squaring on an unassuming Chocobo several yards ahead. Sora clears his throat, and begins to whistle a tune. The bird in question quirks its head at the SFC and surprise, surprise, it actually begins to dance! It bobs, sways, rolls its head, warking rather excitedly, drawing attention of other ones nearby who more or less begin to do the same.]

[Just when things start getting interesting, that's when it all stops: there's a loud, irritated wark right behind the SFC. Sora has halted his musical performance and the screen has wandered away from the dancing chocobo as if Sora has become distracted offscreen. Could be trouble...]

Uhh.... hey there... You want some greens, is that it?

I'm sure I've got some around here. Hang on a sec....H-hey!

Wait, what're you - Oh no!!

[The screen finally jerks around, catching a flash Sora being tugged backwards, his hood caught in the beak of a rather irate looking bird. The broadcast stops.]

[She almost bows to the screen, but realizes that might be a bit much. As might be her normal declaration of hometown. After all, Vatheon doesn't have an Isle of Besaid.

So she simply smiles.]

Please, call me Yuna.

You big stupid lovable bird-!

_{[Lea unequips "Accessory: Isa". Lea gains +5 to suicidal actions.

... In other words, he gleefully jumps onto the grumpy Chocobo's back the second he arrives in record times- not even properly, just hugging the thing.]}

I never thought I'd see one of you crazy things again when I got here! Aw yeah!

...huh.

They don't take that much training before you can ride them, you know, you just have to not fall off. The training just makes it easier.

[There's a grave silence. The whole world moves in slow motion as Sora turns in horror and sees Lea moments before he makes contact. Sora has just enough time to yell-] Lea, no!! [-before everything erupts into utter chaos.]

_{[Lea does not even remotely care. Besides, chaos is what he lives for He just holds on tight, face buried in all those feathers.]}

Yeah, I'm not real excited about something like that happening again either.

[Well he wasn't expecting that.] Is being snuck up on [The Chocobo warks loudly.] really that bad?

It pisses me off. If I can be more aware when it happens, it means I can deal with it better.

[And it means less chance his blood will spill, but like hell he's saying that aloud.]

Would you shut your stupid bird up, too?

[A surprised pause.] Yuna... [And Sora peers closer to the screen.] Yuna?

Wow - you look... different!

[He smiles at that.] You mean Chocobo, Raenef.

I dunno if he looks like a Fred. He looks more like... an Eclipse!

[And she, in turn, reels respectfully away from the screen]

I-I'm sorry? Do you know me?

[Oh, of course!]

You must also be from Spira, yes?

[A terrible squawk that erupts from the already incensed bird. Sora's jerked abruptly to the side by his jacket amidst a flurry of yellow feathers before the Chocobo suddenly takes off sprinting.]

[Sora eventually recovers, pushing himself up off the ground where he's landed. He looks up just in time to see Lea hanging on for dear life. Oh man! He's gonna get himself hurt!]

Are you crazy?!!

[In another moment, Sora's up on his feet running after the two. Lea what are you doing!?]

Yes!

_{[Now he's just laughing, definitely helping with that 'crazy' vibe he's giving off right now. The adrenaline pumping through his veins is pretty much helping in all of his decision making process right now, and besides...

Dude. It's a Chocobo.]}

Sora, Sora! Look how fast he's going!

_{[He should not sound this happy when he's on the panicked sprinting bird.]}

[Sora doesn't answer for a moment, placing a palm at the side of its head to try and discourage it from shredding his jacket. It only deters it for a few moments before it's at it again. Sora peers down at the SFC, though.]

Sounds like you know a lot about these guys. Do you have Chocobos where you come from?

[What's Sora talking about? That bird is big and yellow. Eclipse has dark hair and dark eyes and- ]

[a dark, irritated expression just like-

HANG ON. If he tilts his head to the side just a little bit-]

He's not my bird. He just... won't stop trying to get at my jacket.

What about having someone keep a lookout. They could watch out for you while you get some shut eye.

[Raenef can't take it. His cheeks puff out trying to hold back the laughter, but it's not working very well. There are tears in his eyes.]

It looks just like him!

[Oh, but wait!]

My fairy's named Eclipse too! They can't both be Eclipse, can they?

Yeah! We met at Radiant Garden, remember? You and Rikku and Paine. The three of you were always looking for treasure.

... Only you were a lot smaller last we talked. [He holds his palms out, one above the other to demonstrate.]

[Yuna frowns a little before shaking her head.]

I'm sorry. I don't think I've ever been that small.

And I don't know a Paine or Radiant Garden but... Rikku? You know Rikku?

[Sora just grins at the reaction. Better than expected!]

Hmmm... that would get kinda confusing. We can't have three Eclipses running around.

[And then something occurs to him.] Does he know you named the Fairy after him?

The point is it's still annoying.

But no. I am not doing that. That's stupid and lame and again, I am fine without sleep.

[No, Lea, you really shouldn't!]

[To Sora's horror, Lea's antics set off a chain reaction. As he and his new feathered friend sprint through the middle of another group of Chocobos. They scatter haphazardly in all directions, some of them Sora has to dodge to keep from getting run over.]

Yeah, three Eclipse's would be kind of...

[...well, would that really be so bad? Oh yes, it would. That would be three lessons a day.

Raenef blinks back into the present.]

Huh? Oh yeah, he knows! I told him after he tried to squash his own fairy. So I had to be a scary Demon Lord and tell him to stop doing that.

_{[With some difficulty, Lea positions his legs behind the Chocobo's wings. Still clinging to the long neck, he wiggles himself up and begins to pet the poor frantic thing.

The chaos all around? Totally lost.]}

Hey there, c'mon...

_{[But at least he seems happy.]}

[of course, Red is always pinged by pets and animals...]

Sora, your friend is really cute.
